Who are The Photocopies?
A better question might be who IS The Photocopies. Because The Photocopies isn't really a band, but rather one person.
That's British songwriter Sean Turner, previously resident in London but now based in south-east Michigan, USA.

A complete lack of recording budget (and mixing talent) couldn't stop him cranking out dozens and dozens of indie-pop tunes of all varieties.
Most Photocopies releases don't even attempt to sound cohesive as Sean is incapable of sticking to a formula and repeating it over and over, so the first Photocopies song you hear might sound quite different to that next one, and the one after that, and so on. This is a good thing.
Influences? Mainly UK underground pop sounds of the mid-1980s to the early 1990s (think C86 and pre-Britpop indie), but also many of the artists that inspired THOSE sounds. (A few examples (opens in a new tab).) The use of synthesisers is not out of the question, but it's mainly the jangle and/or noise of guitars you'll hear.
