Minor Celebrity

He's a minor celebrity
Should that be of consequence to me?
Does that mean he is a star?
Well, I wouldn't go that far

He is a minor celebrity
Does it seem that's all he'll ever be?
Almost a one-hit wonder
But when you're six feet under
That's not much of a legacy

Is it enough, this little fame?
Is it too fleeting, soon gone again?
He's on the B list
Or was it C?
You always have to look his name up when he's on your TV

He's a minor celebrity
I don't know what that means to me
It's getting kind of hard to see why he has attention
A minor celebrity
Slightly more than you or me
Depending on your measure of success
I guess
